What can you expect to find here?
The short answer should probably be, the manic ramblings of a madman. But if you are here and reading this presumably you have found something here that interests you. Which is fantastic.
It is early days and I don’t have a plan for it, but maybe I have a vision of what I might do with it. It will cover my work and my hobbies and interests …
My work: I am currently the Marketing Director at Wick Hill who are a Value Add Distributor of Network Security Products. Due to a recent “significant investment” in the company, read that as buy out, my job title might soon change, the role should stay pretty much the same but with more international flavor. Regarding my work, my postings will be split into two broad categories, Marketing and Network Security.
My hobbies and interests: I have a number of things that capture my imagination to some extent even though I believe myself to be pretty lazy. I won’t go into too much detail here as I think I’ll kick things off with a general article on each one. Currently my interests cover:
Fishing – When I did more of it, it was mostly carp fishing in the UK with a little bit of pike fishing with my brother and general course fishing. I also like to have a bash at something exotic when I’m on holiday.
Motorcycles – Mostly classic British stuff. I own and (occasionally) ride a 650cc 1963 BSA A65 Star Twin.
Travel – oddly it is only in the last few years that I have really got into this. Now I’ve got the bug and try to get away at least twice a year but preferably three times.
Scuba diving – this is a holiday activity for me. I have never dived in the UK. Too cold for my taste. I have a PADI Advanced Open Water certificate.
Sailing – I’m listing this as an interest and I never done it! But I’m going to give it a go this year so I will let you know how that turns out.
If any of the above has any appeal for you, then book mark me or subscribe or whatever it is you do with these blog things and I will ramble about them in the future.
Many thanks for reading … Barry
